I am FINALLY back from the holidays and ready to take over 2015. I can’t even begin to tell you how busy and exciting my life has been this past month. I visited Arizona mid-December for Christmas. It was weeks worth of Christmas parties, spending time with friends, and an overdose of delicious foods (I’m blessed to have parents that could pass as professional chefs). Christmas was amazing as always; it is my favorite holiday after all. But the best part was being able to surprise my boyfriend with what I had been planning for the past six months, a trip to Seattle.
My boyfriend Colton and I are die-hard Seahawks fans; really, I wear a Seahawks bracelet everyday (refer to pic below) and tend to get in arguments with the “haters”. So on Christmas day, I surprised him with plane tickets and told him we were leaving in two days, so we could make it to the last home game against the Rams. Now at the time, I had just planned on tailgating for the game since I have a friend that lives there and I am not exactly made of money. But to my surprise, after Colton had opened his presents from my parents, they surprised both of us with tickets to the game. I screamed. We had always talked about going to a game at CenturyLink, and now it was finally becoming a reality.
We got to Seattle early in the morning on the 27th and it was by far one of the best trips I have ever taken. We spent the trip roaming the city, eating endless amounts of seafood and sipping hot toddies. The game was on the 28th and it was an incredible experience. The Seahawks fan base is truly amazing; I don’t think I saw one Rams fan there. We spent the day tailgating with friends and when it was time, finally headed to CenturyLink Field. That is one of the loudest most energetic places a person could ever go. You can’t help but to scream and act crazy with everyone around you. As you football fans know, we beat the Rams and it was a great game to be able to go to.
Now that I am back in LA, back at work, and back in school (only THREE MORE MONTHS), I am finally back in the swing of things and will be posting much more. If you have any comments, suggestions, or anything at all, feel free to send me an email at megan@meganhofferth.com. I’d love to talk to you all!
