If there is one thing I can say about myself and my shopping habits, it’s that I rarely pay full price for anything. I have to REALLY be in love with an item before I even think about paying for it without any discount (this doesn’t include fast fashion like H&M). I want to be clear that I love name brand clothing and drool over designer goods on a daily basis, but that doesn’t mean I will be willing to purchase without some sort of savings.
With my obsession of finding good deals, I have discovered some of the best online stores where I can find high quality fashion at affordable prices. These sites are my go-to’s for the majority of my online shopping; it is rare I will ever purchase from any other website. I am happy to share the five best websites to online shop while on a budget!
Amazon: I have to admit that I am one of those people that orders everything on Amazon Prime. And I know what you are probably thinking, “clothes too?” Well..yeah. I actually ordered both the jeans and the boots I’m wearing in this outfit from Amazon! You can find so many great brands on Amazon for a fraction of the price. Some of my favorite things to shop there are shoes and basics (like jeans), but I have even purchased dresses for weddings and formal items there as well. I just advise you always read the reviews to ensure things will fit properly and that the brands are legit but overall, Amazon is a great source to find designer brands at a fraction of their regular price.
Tobi: I have posted outfits in clothes from Tobi several times (check some out here and here) and this site is my absolute favorite if I need new clothes that are good quality but still affordable. Tobi is one of the only sites that is actually worth subscribing to because they are ALWAYS having sales going on. Plus once you subscribe to their emails, your entire first purchase is 50% off! If you are looking for cute sweaters, casual dresses, and stand-out pieces, Tobi is the way to go. I have never paid full price on Tobi and I am always happy with each piece that I purchase. In fact, they are the clothing pieces that I am most complimented on when I wear them!
6PM: I discovered 6PM a few years ago and it has been one of my favorite online stores ever since. 6PM is owned by Zappos and sells older seasons of clothing, shoes, handbags, you name it, at a discounted price. They have some great brands including For Love and Lemons, Calvin Klein, MinkPink, and Nike all at reduced costs. I do have to warn you there is a TON of merchandise on their site so it’s best to filter the categories as much as possible to best suit what you’re shopping for. Since it is owned by Zappos, the customer service is great. They offer free shipping after 2 items or $50 spent and offer free returns. I have always been satisfied with the great quality product I receive and it only makes me happier that I saved money on some of my favorite brands!
Saks Off 5th: If I ever want to get a nice pair of shoes, a bag, or any other type of accessory, I usually look at Saks Off 5th first. Saks Off 5th is Saks 5th Avenue’s outlet store that carries older season items that were once sold at the department store. I have gotten so many great things on their site including Zac Posen bags and Gucci sunglasses. They have tons of clothing options as well, but I typically always tend to purchase more accessories than anything from Off 5th. This is one of the best sites to get deals on designer goods and I love going to their brick and mortar stores as well! There are always reasonable prices and a large selection of brands to choose from.
Gilt: If you haven’t heard of Gilt, I don’t know if you should sign up immediately or steer far away in order to protect your bank account. Gilt is a membership site that offers special sales on designer brands for only a few days at a time. The downside, you have to buy things right away before they sell out or the sale ends. The upside, you can get some amazing deals! Not to mention they have a fabulous selection of home goods (I may have splurged on one too many candles) and men’s clothing/accessories; I’ve purchased my boyfriend shirts for as low as $10. If you are looking for things to buy right away, Gilt is a great option!
